The paper business consists of three divisions: recycling, paper manufacturing and paper converting.
We are the leading paper recycler in South Africa. The recycling division has seven sites across the country.
The paper division manufactures recycled-based packaging and industrial paper grades such as containerboard and cartonboard. In addition, we sell Baywhite Provantage™, a premium quality white-top kraftliner produced by Mondi Limited, for which we have exclusive distribution rights in South Africa and sub-Saharan Africa.
The Paper converting business manufactures premium quality corrugated packaging products, provides high-graphic printing capabilities and other converted paper products primarily for the QSR sector. It comprises 14 converting plants, nine in South Africa, one in Mozambique, two in Namibia and one in Botswana.
Mpact Plastics is a leading producer of rigid plastic packaging and cling film in southern Africa.
The plastics business manufactures packaging products for the food, beverage, personal care, home care, pharmaceutical, agricultural and retail markets, primarily in South Africa. The eight production centres, divided into four distinct business clusters, are located in the Western Cape, Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal and North West. Mpact Plastics participates in the sustainability initiatives driven by Plastics SA and Packaging SA. We are also members of Petco, PolyCo and the Polystyrene Packaging Council.
Mpact's plant in Wadeville (Gauteng) is South Africa's primary PET converter, manufacturing preforms, bottles, wide mouth jars and closures for the food, beverage, household and chemical markets.
Mpact Plastics is one of southern Africa's largest FMCG rigid plastic packaging suppliers.
Mpact Plastic Containers, which has operations in Atlantis (Western Cape) and Brits (North West) supplies a wide range of reusable, value-added plastic containers to the agricultural, bottling, environmental, material handling and fresh produce retail industries.
With plants in Paarl (Western Cape) and Brits (North West), Mpact Versapak supplies expanded polystyrene packaging, PET and polystyrene trays and Vinyl film to the FMCG, fast food, beverage and agricultural sectors.
