Mpact Paper Converting community projects

Mpact Paper Converting continues to make a meaningful difference, addressing critical needs while championing sustainability, education, and community well-being.

Mpact Corrugated made a contribution to Clicks’ “Girls on the Go” sanitary pad campaign, aimed at addressing provision of sanitary packs to disadvantage girls. Using innovative design, the team created donation boxes displayed in 880 Clicks stores nationwide. The campaign was a resounding success, with sanitary products distributed to schools and other platforms, including Fisantekraal High School and Kalkfontein Primary.

Mpact Corrugated’s Green Team brought joy to children at Butterfly House in Smartie Town, Drakenstein, with an Easter celebration. Activities included an Easter egg hunt, games, and a play about the significance of Easter. This event exemplified the team’s dedication to spreading love and hope in underprivileged communities.

Mpact Corrugated in Mbombela (Nelspruit) launched a reading project to encourage literacy and family bonding among employees and their children. The initiative provides age-appropriate books, enhancing children’s education and fostering stronger family relationships. By promoting reading, the project also supports better workplace communication and comprehension among employees.

Detpak marked Mandela Day with a donation of 67 blankets to Orlando Children’s Home and Youth Development Centre in Soweto. The 67 blankets, symbolising the number of years that Mandela dedicated to public service, were carefully chosen to provide warmth and comfort to the children.

In July 2024, our team in the Western Cape partnered with HEART NPO to provide emergency relief to those affected by the extreme weather in Paarl. Corrugated cartons were supplied to serve as insulation and bedding for 80 to 100 displaced individuals, providing some dignity and comfort for those who were affected.

Christoff Botha, MD Mpact Paper Converting, donated hamburger patties to the Mouton farm school on behalf of Mpact. Excessive flooding in the region affected citrus farming in the Citrusdal area where producers, including Mouton Citrus, were cut off from the N1. Mouton Citrus, a valued customer of Mpact, is one of the leading citrus producers in South Africa.
